A meeting took place at the Ministry of Finance and Economy of Turkmenistan with a delegation from the European Investment Bank (EIB) led by Edwardas Bumšteinas. The primary purpose of the visit was to finalise the draft Framework Agreement on cooperation.

The parties reviewed prospects for cooperation in the transport sector, including financing of the Trans-Caspian Transport Corridor and its digitalisation within the framework of the SPECA programme, as well as projects in the fields of green energy, water management, agriculture and hydrocarbon processing. 

Both sides confirmed their mutual interest in further developing the partnership. Previous high-level contacts took place in Samarkand during the “Central Asia – European Union” summit.
